The Courage No One Sees
Hello Corageus Friends!
Something shifted this week.
What started with a story from Burkina Faso, a nation confronting its past and reclaiming its agency, pulled me deeper into the kind of conversations we easily avoid. About power. About sovereignty. About the weight of history and the voices that remain unheard.
It stirred something in me. A reminder that courage is not just about bold moves: sometimes, it is about speaking truth, especially when it would be easier, safer, to stay quiet.
This isn’t a political letter. It’s about your voice. And the courage it takes to show up boldly in a world that too often leads us to shrink.
This is the theme of today’s letter.
This week’s Lesson: Courage is not always loud, but it is never passive.
Life keeps teaching me that courage is not exclusively reserved for the big moments. Most of the time, it lives in our small, daily choices about what matters.
Let’s look at three ways courage shows up in our everyday life:
1. Boundary-setting
Saying no, even politely, can be terrifying, especially if you were raised to please or accommodate. But courage often sounds like, “This doesn’t work for me.” Whether it’s a job, a relationship, or a draining dynamic, setting boundaries is a daily act of self-respect.
2. Reinvention
Starting again, a new job, a new project, a new version of yourself, it takes guts. It is not always glamorous. It is not always profitable. But choosing to begin anyway, even when no one cheers, is its own quiet revolution.
3. Speaking up
Whether in a meeting, at home, or in your journal, naming what is true for you, especially when it is unpopular, is a radical act. You do not need to be loud. You do need to be honest.
Courage can also be firing a new client two days in because you realize it is not a match. (Shout out, lady, you know who you are.)
Maybe you’ve shown courage too, by walking away from a role that no longer fit, or by choosing your peace over someone else’s comfort.
I know I have. I have chosen uncertainty over predictability to build something of my own. I have become a mother, twice, and still opted to lead, create, and grow.
And most recently, I have chosen the unpopular path (by hustle culture standards): taking on a full-time corporate role and building a business. Not because I am superhuman, but because this season I am in requires both. Security and risk. Legacy and growth.
I am constantly reminded that courage is about truth. It is about knowing what you stand for, and being unapologetic about it. You will not always feel brave; however, if you could find the courage to get to the other side of your fear, you’ll be transformed. And if you don’t, if you keep quiet to protect comfort, what do you risk losing?

Some are for depth. Others for beauty, perspective, or possibility. All of them, in their way, remind me that reinvention takes vision, originality, and courage.
🤔 For your reflection...
Where in your life have you gone quiet to keep the peace?
And what would it take to show up as the boldest version of you, starting now?
🔥 Three Takeaways to carry
1. Courage is not a performance.
2. Your voice matters, even when it shakes.
3. Boldness and strategy are the duo we didn't know we needed.
Until next time,
With you, boldly forward,
